Grayson 2 Months

Has it seriously been two months!? This summer is just flying by way too fast.  I can't believe it is already coming to an end.  While I am excited to start teaching preschool again I am very sad it will mean so much less time with my boys.  I have really enjoyed being a stay at home mom.  But hopefully I'll update more about our summer soon.

Grayson is growing like crazy! We have been to the doctor a million times so we have really seen just how fast he has grown.  At about one month the doctor said they like to see newborns gaining about 1/2 to 1 ounce a day - and he has been gaining about 2.  The crazy thing about that though - is he is only in the 23rd ish percentile for weight.  If he's growing so fast how is he so small compared to others!?

Speaking of stats - at his 2 month well child checkup he was:
11 lbs 7 ounces (23rd percentile)
23 inches (49th percentile)

Also at two months Grayson is:
- smiling!! Little baby smiles are the best!
- holding his head up and pushing off of me with his arms really well
- sleeping from about 8-9 to 5 or so
- eating every 2-3 hours during the day
- really likes to be held.  It's hard to get things done because he just wants to be held all day
- only likes the hospital binkies.  I've tried getting him to take others and he gags and spits them out
- still sleeps in the swing.  We are starting to work on getting him out of it
- went through a spurt of being much happier when I didn't have milk in my diet.  I've slowly added it back in and he's doing ok.  He does still have gassy/fussy days if I eat a lot of dairy but he's much better.  He was crying for a few hours every night and it was just awful.  So glad that is behind us.

Jackson wanted to be part of the action.  He saw us lay the blanket down and start taking pictures.  So he went and grabbed his blanket and laid down to be in the pictures.  Ha - finny kid!
