Halloween was fun this year. It seemed to come up on us quick - but we had fun. Darci found a really cute monkey costume for Jackson at the DI and it was perfect for him. It was warm, comfy, and cute! If she wouldn't have found it I don't know if he would have had a very cute costume.
On the Saturday before we went to our ward's Halloween party. It was a chili cook-off. Juston was a judge so my mom tried to sway his vote. It didn't work though. There were quite a few people there and we had a lot of fun. Jackson slept through the whole thing and just stayed content being in the little carrier.
On Sunday we carved pumpkins as a family. This was so fun / funny for me. I carved two big holes at the bottom of my pumpkin and stuck Jackson inside. He was not very happy! It was great! After we got a few good pictures and I calmed him down I finished carving my pumpkin. I turned it upside-down and used the holes as eyes and just carved a silly face into it. Juston carved Transformers into his, Dakota made a puking pumpkin, Madeline did a fun face, Tevin did a fun face, and Slate did the logo FN.
On Halloween we went to Darci's for dinner. We made a discussing looking dinner - rat meat loaf, jello worms, eyeball deviled eggs, punch with a hand in it, and the most discusting of all was the truck stop toilet. It was nasty. After dinner we all went trick or treating. Darci's neighborhood was kind of a bust so we went over to a neighborhood in our ward - Lamplight Village. Holy cow! There were so many people! You literally had to push through crowds and wait in line at doors. It was insane. It was fun though. The kids all had a lot of fun - and so did the adults!
